Larry Sternson, Ph.D., CEO
Larry Sternson is an experienced developer of drugs and pharmaceutical technology. His career which spans 35 years includes 15 years as a university professor, 10 years of big pharma experience as a senior R&D leader, and 10 years as an entrepreneur responsible for the start up and development of biotech oriented companies. He has been responsible for bringing more than 10 drug products to market based on novel drug delivery technologies. He was the founder, President and CEO of the private company, NanoSystems, whose technologies were incorporated into the first pharmaceutical products ever to use nanotechnology (2001-2004). These products are marketed by Wyeth, Merck, Par and Abbott and currently represent over $2B in annual in-market sales. NanoSystems was sold to the Elan Corporation in 1998 at which time Dr. Sternson became President of Elan's Drug Delivery businesses, a position that he held until 2004.
 
James Baker , Jr., M.D., Founder and Chief Scientific Officer
James Baker is an internationally recognized expert in immunology, nanotechnology, and nanomedicine. Dr. Baker invented the avidimer technology at the University of Michigan where he is the Ruth Dow Doan Professor of Medicine and Head of Allergy and Immunology at the Medical School . He is also the Director of M-NIMBS, which is focused on the use of nanotechnology in biomedical applications. He is one of three editors of the National Nanotechnology Initiative’s Research Directives, and Chairs the Nanotechnology for Medicine and Biology study section at National Institutes of Health (“NIH”). Dr. Baker is a board-certified internist, allergist and immunologist.
 
Deborah Ladenheim, Ph.D., VP of Project Operations & Regulatory Affairs
Deborah Ladenheim was Regulatory Lead in Inflammation and Oncology at Pfizer, Inc. Dr. Ladenheim has worked in Pharmaceutical Development for 15 years including 13 years in regulatory strategy. She has led regulatory strategies in both the US and Europe. Dr. Ladenheim has been involved in the development of more than twenty product candidates and at varying stages of development ranging from exploratory development to line extensions, including two successful NDA submissions.
 
David Repp, MBA, VP of Business Operations
David Repp has over six years of experience in business consulting in research commercialization, new venture creation and high tech manufacturing. He spent over three years with Deloitte Consulting where he was on the strategic advisory team for the Firm’s High Tech Manufacturing Practice. Mr. Repp holds an MBA (Samuel Zell Scholar) from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan.
